Storage Guidelines

1. Lyophilized Peptides:
   • For longer-term storage, freeze at -20°Cand avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
   • Keep away from direct light and moisture.
2. Reconstituted Peptides:
   • Store in a sterile vial at 2–8°C for short-term use (up to 2 weeks).

Reconstitution Steps

1. Preparation:
   • Use sterile, bacteriostatic water, or a buffer appropriate for your research.
   • Ensure the vial and materials are sterile to prevent contamination.
2. Concentration:
   • Adjust the diluent volume based on the desired peptide concentration for your research needs.
   • Excessive dilution can compromise peptide integrity and reduce effectiveness. To prevent fragmentation and breakdown of peptides, use 1 to 2.5 ml of solution for reconstitution unless related studies confirm that a higher volume is safe.
3. Reconstitution:
   • Allow both the peptide vial and the mixing solution (e.g., bacteriostatic water) to reach room temperature before mixing.
   • Slowly add the diluent along the side of the vial to prevent foaming.
   • Gently swirl the vial (do not shake) until the peptide is completely dissolved.

Additional Notes

• Avoid exposing peptides to extreme pH, as this can degrade the peptide.
• Refer to the product-specific datasheet for optimal reconstitution conditions.
• Discard any peptide solutions that appear cloudy, discoloured, or contaminated.
